Noustep is a support and information-sharing platform designed for travelers in airports. It takes the form of a social network where users can share their experiences, ask questions, and receive real-time assistance. The platform aims to improve the traveler experience through a caring and responsive community.
Exchanges focus on specific topics related to travel, airport services, and optimizing the traveler journey. User contributions are subject to moderation to ensure a respectful and constructive environment.
2- Off-topic Messages
Noustep enables the creation of a community focused on mutual assistance among travelers. To ensure the relevance of discussions, it is essential that each message is posted in the appropriate section. Discussions are organized around the following themes:
Tips and practical advice (luggage, Wi-Fi connection, special services, etc.)
Any message deemed off-topic by moderators will either be moved to the appropriate section or deleted if it is unrelated to the proposed themes.
3- Moderation
3-1 Moderation Approach
Messages posted on Noustep are subject to two types of moderation:
Prior moderation: Some messages are reviewed and approved by a moderator before being published, especially those from new users and those containing external links.
Posterior moderation: Messages are published automatically but may be removed later if they do not comply with this charter.
The purpose of moderation is to maintain a friendly and constructive support space without limiting users’ freedom of expression. Moderators ensure that rules are respected while avoiding any form of abusive censorship.
3-2 Transparency and Reporting
Each user has the option to report inappropriate messages by clicking on the three vertical dots, which opens a context menu with the "Report" option. Reports are handled promptly, and moderation decisions are justified with personalized feedback to the concerned user.
4- Compliance with the Law
Messages posted on Noustep must comply with applicable laws. The following are strictly prohibited:
Profane, obscene, racist, sexist, or discriminatory language
Personal attacks and insults between users
Incomprehensible messages or those written in SMS/texting language
Sharing confidential information (names, phone numbers, email addresses)
Incitement to illegal behavior (hacking, computer intrusion, fraud)
Any violation of these rules may result in the removal of the concerned message and, in case of repeated offenses, temporary or permanent suspension of the user account.
5- Respect for Noustep’s Specificities
5-1 Sharing Experiences and Personal Data
Users are encouraged to share helpful tips and experiences for the community without disclosing sensitive personal information. Contributions should focus on improving the traveler experience and not on personal criticisms against airport staff or other users.
5-2 Location-Based Contributions
Noustep uses anonymized geolocation to provide relevant information to users. Any attempt to misuse this feature for intrusive purposes will be sanctioned.
6- Respect for Netiquette
6-1 Respect Others’ Opinions
Discussions on Noustep must allow for respectful and constructive exchanges of ideas. Disagreements are tolerated as long as they are expressed without aggression. Defamatory, insulting, or provocative remarks are prohibited.
6-2 Be clear and concise
Messages that are too long or too technical may not be read. To encourage the sharing of useful and quick information, it is recommended to be clear and concise.
6-3 Use of capital letters and emojis
Writing in all caps is equivalent to shouting and can be perceived as aggressive. The use of emojis is encouraged to express emotions kindly and to avoid misunderstandings.
6-4 Confidentiality and caution
Users must ensure that they do not disclose sensitive personal information in their messages. Since exchanges are visible to all community members, it is recommended to share only information strictly necessary to understand the situations described.
7- Specificities related to partnerships and advertising
7-1 Authorized advertising
Advertising spaces integrated into Noustep are managed by the technical team and must not be tampered with by users under any circumstances. Ads are targeted based on interests related to the traveler experience and should not disrupt navigation.
7-2 Partnerships with duty-free shops and airports
Sponsored content from duty-free shops and partner airports is clearly identified as such. Any attempt to conceal sponsored content will be considered a violation of the charter.
8- Conflict Management and Remedies
8-1 Reporting to a moderator
In case of a conflict with another user or inappropriate content, you can report the message by clicking on the three vertical dots, which opens a contextual menu with the option "Report". Moderators will strive to handle the report promptly and impartially.
8-2 Appeal Procedure
In case of disagreement with a moderation decision, users may submit a motivated appeal request via the Help Center form located in the burger menu (the three horizontal lines) at the top right of the application’s home page; or by sending an email directly to support@noustep.com. Decisions made on appeal are final.
9- Sanctions
In case of violation of this charter, Noustep reserves the right to take the following measures:
1- Warning: Reminder of the rules by sending an email.
2- Temporary suspension: Account blockage for a determined period in case of repeat offenses.
3- Permanent exclusion: Account deletion in case of serious or repeated violations.
10- Acceptance of the Charter
Using Noustep implies unconditional acceptance of this moderation charter. In case of updates to the charter, users will be informed via a notification when opening the application.
